What is a UPS?   An Uninterruptible Power Supply is a device that supplies battery backup power during short power outages, and allows systems to safely shutdown. UPS systems also protect against brownouts, overvoltages, power surges, and line noise.

Other features include single line telephone suppression jacks, USB port with PowerAlert software and auto-shutdown, audible alarm and front panel LEDs. 750VA/450W power handling ability supports typical PCs for up to 45 minutes.

The UP200 is General Technics' 2200VA line interactive UPS system for critical server and network equipment packaged in a convenient 2U rackmount form factor and only 19" deep. Line interactive Automatic Voltage Regulation (AVR) offers two levels of voltage boost during brownouts and one level of voltage cut during overvoltages to maintain regulated 100, 110, 120v selectable output. Other features include network-grade AC surge and noise suppression, simultaneous network management over USB, serial, and SNMPWEBCARD slot, metered current monitoring, battery charge status LEDs, an audible alarm, and field-replaceable hot-swappable internal batteries.
