1U Modular Rackmount Case

General Technics has redesigned the Modular 1U chassis to match the increased performance of the Standard 1U model. This gives you all the configuration options of the modular chassis with added support for the greater thermal loads of today's higher power processors.

Improved Design:
The key to cooling high-performance systems is unrestricted airflow. General Technics has incorporated this key feature throughout the new design with increased ventilation on all surfaces, creating unrestricted paths for cool air to follow. The modular chassis has up to five powerful fans to force that cool air through the chassis, ducting it directly over the processor*, and past memory and other heat-dissipating components. These changes have led to a dramatic decrease in operating temperature, even when testing at full capacity. Running cool extends the life of the processor, giving you reliability you can count on.

Additional Features:
The exposed 5.25" bay can support an array of configuration options, such a full size CD-ROM, a slim CD-ROM and floppy, an LCD control panel, or even front-mounted LAN or Serial connections. Inside is an internal 3.5" hard drive bay, and support for standard ATX style system boards. This chassis has the unique ability to re-configure the system board mounting to eliminate some or all of the rear I/O. This allows selected connectors to be re-routed to the front panel. For example, a LAN/Serial panel is available, supporting up to 7 RJ45 connectons on the front panel. Adjustable rear support brackets, RK414 (beige) and RK415 (black), are available to provide both front and rear mounting. Your choice of 1U power supply is available, with UL / CSA / TUV / FCC / CE approvals.

Card Slot Options:
When using the MB796 Intel® SE3000AH system board, you can take advantage of Intel's® Adaptive Slot technology. This allows you to choose between a 64-bit PCI riser card, or a PCI Express x8 riser card. The RK650 add-on kit provides the necessary brackets and adaptive slot riser card for a 64-bit PCI slot. The RK651 kit has the same brackets and a PCIe x8 adaptive slot riser card.

* Note: The included duct with fan is designed specifically for the MB796 Intel® S3000AH Server Board.

1U Accessories:

	RK129 Centrifugal chassis blower to enhance the cooling for high speed systems.  This blower can be aimed directly at the processor's to provide additional cooling.  This option is highly recommend for maximum cooling when the processor speed is 933 MHz and higher. See larger photo here.
	RK560 32 bit PCI 1U riser card lets you add a single PCI adaptor card PCI slot in position "B".  See larger photo here.
	RK576 Relocation 64 Bit Riser Card. Similar to 64 bit riser card above but used with mother boards that do not have a 64 bit slot in position "B" .
	HW137 Super Copper P4 Blower. A high-speed centrifugal blower for the power intensive P4 processors. This active copper heatsink is designed to force cool air over its fins. It has a height advantage over similar fans in 1U chassis, allowing it to make full use of the available space for cooling.
	RD150 and RD151 are frames that fits in the 5 1/4" bay and include a slim CD-ROM and a slim floppy drive.  The RD150 has a beige frame and the RD151 has black.   See larger photo here.
