RAID Rackmount Case General
Technics, Inc. Industrial 1U ATX chassis will support a Pentium / Celeron™
ATX single or dual processor mother board. We recommend using a mother
board with built in video and LAN. However standard ATX mother
boards will fit (see tips sheet and suggested mother boards below ).
There are 2 exposed 3.5" removeable IDE drive frames, and
one 5.25" bay. We offer options for a slim_floppy_drive
and a third Remoable IDE drive
frame in the 5 1/4" bay. This chassis includes a front
lockable door. 4 cooling fans are built-in to provide plenty of cool
air flow. Two in the front, and two more fans are in the power supply.
An optional blower
is available that can be aimed directly at the CPU. A single
PCI card may be added with the included riser
card. An adjustable rear support_bracket
is included to provide both front and rear mounting. An optional
heavy duty front support_bracket,
is available for relay rack mounting. This steel bracket eliminates
the need for a rear mounting point. The part number for this bracket
is CS541 or CS741. Your choice of a
200300 watt 115/230 V AC
power supply is available with UL / CSA / TUV / FCC / CE approvals.
Included with the chassis is a Temperature Alarm Module with two
temperature probes. If an over temperature condition occurs, or
a fan should fail the module
sounds an alarm, and the mother board fan sensor is triggered.
An alarm reset switch and two LED's are provided behind the access door.
1U SCSI SCA Options and Accessories:
FD107 slim floppy drive kit may
be added below the left removable drive bay. The kit includes the
drive, adaptor board and ribbon cable. See

HD362 and HD363 are
optional drive frames to add a third removable IDE drive in the
right hand 5 1/4" bay. The HD362 is beige
and the HD363 is black. See

CS543 and CS743 Heavy Duty
Relay Rack Brackets. A pair of heavy duty steel front mounting
brackets to take the place of the included aluminum angle brackets.
This will allow you to remove the rear brackets and still have excellent
support with the front brackets only. It is designed for use
in racks with a single vertical mounting rail (called relay or telco
racks) or where quick change removal of the chassis is required,
in standard racks. Available in beige or black. See

RK129 Centrifugal chassis blower
to enhance the cooling for high speed systems. This blower
can be aimed directly at the processor's to provide additional cooling.

RK571 Special riser card assembly
for use with mother boards that do not have a PCI slot
in position "B". Included is a remote plug-in
PCI connector that is cabled to a special PCI riser in slot "B". See

RK570 64 bit 5v and 3v PCI riser
card for the 1U chassis. Used with mother boards that have
a 64 bit PCI card slot
in position "B". Included riser mounting clamp
to prevent riser from coming out under shock and vibration. See

RK576 Relocation 64 Bit Riser Card.
Similar to 64 bit riser card above but used with mother boards that
do not have a 64 bit slot
in position "B" .
HW137 Super Copper P4 Blower.
A high-speed centrifugal blower for the power intensive P4 processors.
This active copper heatsink is designed to force cool air over its fins.
It has a height advantage over similar fans in 1U chassis, allowing it to make full use of the available space for cooling.
CS458 and CS658 are frames
that fits in the 5 1/4" bay and include a slim IDE CD-ROM drive.
It has room for a second hard drive below. This frame
will provide support for a hard drive and CD-ROM in the same bay.
The CS458 is beige and the CS658 is black.
