General Technics has redesigned the standard 1U chassis to support the higher thermal loads of today's most demanding systems.
Improved Design:
The key to cooling high-performance systems is unrestricted airflow.
General Technics has incorporated this key feature throughout the new design with increased ventilation on all surfaces, creating unrestricted paths for cool air to follow.
Four powerful fans force that cool air across a separate inner cooling chamber, ducting it directly over the processor*, and past memory and other heat-dissipating components.
These changes have led to a dramatic decrease in operating temperature, even when testing at full capacity.
Running cool extends the life of the processor, giving you reliability you can count on.
Additional Features:
Behind the lockable front panel is one exposed 3.50" bay, one exposed 5.25" bay, dual USB 2.0 ports, as well as power and reset switches.
There is also an additional internal 3.50" bay for hard drive mounting.
With the included PCI riser card you may add one 3/4 length 32-bit PCI card.
Adjustable rear support brackets are included to provide both front and rear mounting.
A pair of mid-point mounting brackets are also included for relay racks.
Card Slot Options:
When using the MB796 Intel® SE3000AH system board, you can take advantage of Intel's® Adaptive Slot technology.
This allows you to choose between a 64-bit PCI riser card, or a PCI Express x8 riser card.
The RK650 add-on kit provides the necessary brackets and adaptive slot riser card for a 64-bit PCI slot.
The RK651 kit has the same brackets and a PCIe x8 adaptive slot riser card.
* Note: The included duct is designed specifically for the MB796 Intel® S3000AH Server Board.

RK576 Relocation 64 Bit Riser Card.
Similar to 64 bit riser card above but used with mother boards that
do not have a 64 bit slot
in position "B" .
HW137 Super Copper P4 Blower.
A high-speed centrifugal blower for the power intensive P4 processors.
This active copper heatsink is designed to force cool air over its fins.
It has a height advantage over similar fans in 1U chassis, allowing it to make full use of the available space for cooling.
CS458 and CS658 are frames
that fits in the 5 1/4" bay and include a slim IDE CD-ROM drive.
It has room for a second hard drive below. This frame
will provide support for a hard drive and CD-ROM in the same bay.
The CS458 is beige and the CS658 is black.
