When rack space is tight, the CS785 chassis is the solution. At only 13" deep and 16.8" wide, it is ideal for short racks, mobile enclosures, desktops, and media shelves. Its sleek and simple design fits well with your other gear, and is well suited for home theater, media servers, and video surveilance systems. Supporting all the latest Intel® multi-core processesors, the General Technics CS785 chassis packs incredible power into a compact case. Compact and Quiet Though only 1.5U high (2.63"), this chassis supports a micro-ATX system board, and up to three full-height cards1. A modular card extender system lets you choose any combination of PCI-32, or PCI Express x1 through x16 cards. It has plenty of room for storage with two 3.5" hard drive bays, as well as up to three 2.5" hard drive bays2. The system is cooled with two quiet 60mm fans directing airflow towards the critical system components. Exhaust and inlet vents maintain a flow of cool air over and through the hard drives, CPU and memory. This quiet and efficient cooling keeps noise to a minimum, enabling your media applications to run both quickly and quietly. Adaptable I/O On the front panel is a blue LED pushbutton and power indicator, two USB 2.0 ports, and a slimline optical drive bay. A large removable panel allows silkscren artwork or custom front panel I/O. On the rear panel are three PCI brackets for add-on cards or additional I/O, as well as two D-sub cutouts for serial or VGA size connectors. When space is limited, a compact system using the CS785 chassis can enable limitless possibilities. |

1 Standard support for two add-on cards up to 10" long using your choice of RK665 or RK663 extenders (sold separately). Optional third card (up to 6" long) requires RK482 or RK483 add-on kit.
2 Support for two 3.5" drives and one 2.5" drive is standard. Two additional 2.5" drives can be mounted with an optional RK477 bracket (not compatible with third card option).
