About GTShipping Information

Order Processing

All orders are carefully reviewed by our technical sales representatives for accuracy and compatibility.  If any issues arise with your order, we will contact you as soon as possible to resolve them.  For this reason it is best to keep your account profile up to date with your current contact information.  Please allow one to two business days to process your order before assembly testing and shipping.  As soon as your order ships, tracking information will be sent to you by email, and will be available on the order status page when you log in at this website.

Shipping Methods

General Technics uses FedEx Ground as our primary shipping method for small orders within the continental United States, although expedited shipping and other carriers are also available.  We continuously compare shipping rates to bring you the best service.  Please select your preferred carrier and method when placing your order with us. We can also bill the shipping to your own carrier account if you indicate this on your order.

International Shipping

Overseas orders will be shipped via FedEx International Economy or Priority services, based on the destination and available rates. The shipping cost may appear as “to be determined” (TBD) until we contact you with the final cost.

Freight Options

Large orders with multiple shipping containers or oversized products such as rack cabinet frames may be palletized if they are too large to use our small package accounts.  This helps multi-piece shipments remain together during shipping, and provides an additional layer of protection from damage.  These less than truckload (LTL) freight shipments will be handled by either YRC Freight or FedEx Freight based on current rates.  Because these rates change frequently, we will contact you with a revised quote before processing your order if we determine that freight shipment will be necessary.

In general, freight shipments require a business delivery destination with either a loading dock, a forklift or Hi-Lo pallet truck, or other type of pallet jack to unload the container.  The driver of the vehicle will not assist you in unloading, carrying, or installing the products. For other destinations such as residential areas and institutions, or for businesses without forklift type loading equipment, trucks are available with lift gates at an extra cost.

Delay in Delivery

General Technics is not accountable for delays in delivery occasioned by acts of God, failure of its suppliers to ship or deliver on time, or other circumstances over which we have no direct control. Factory shipment or delivery dates are the best estimates for delivery. In no case shall General Technics be liable for any damages arising from any delay in delivery.
